Apple - MobileMe - MobileMe transition and iCloud →
I take full advantage of MobileMe, including Gallery and especially iDisk. iCloud is the right way for Apple to go, despite these few inconveniences. The advantages will be much greater.
Just start moving some things to Dropbox, which you should be using along with MobileMe anyway, and things will be easy.
